Comparative Efficacy of Insecticides Against Jassid on Cotton Crop under Field Conditions of Dera Ghazi Khan

The experiment was conducted in local field conditions of Dera Ghazi Khan during the 2021 Kharif season on three different sites. core objective this is to manage Jassid cotton crop a major pest. Five insecticides Dinotefuran, Thiamethoxam, Nitenpyram, Dimethoate and clothianidin were evaluated at recommended doses. treatments laid out randomized complete block designs with replications. Data regarding population before spray after 24-, 48-, 72-hour’s recorded. reduction by Abbots formula. results indicated that Nitenpyram found most effective mean mortality 63.47%, 65.07 61.86% followed Dinotefuran 59.22%, 59.33% 51.45%. Other thiamethoxam, par did not reduce 24 48 hours. However, thiamethoxam reduced below ETL 72 hours as compared Dimethoate. Therefore, it should be used for control dose.
